Canadian band Silverstein has enjoyed a commercially successful career since coming out in 2000 with their debut EP Summer’s Stellar Gaze. The band made their breakthrough in 2005 upon the release of their sophomore full studio album, Discovering the Waterfront, with the album entering both the Canadian and US Billboard 200 charts. Since then, Silverstein released several more successful efforts, including Arrivals & Departures, A Shipwreck in the Sand, and Rescue. Throughout the entirety of their career, Silverstein has maintained their independent status as artist and have signed with indie labels, Victory, Rise, and Hopeless. The band’s last four albums were released through Australian indie label UNFD.
New Jersey born post hardcore band Thursday came out in 1999 with their debut album Waiting. The album was only preceded by their self released debut EP released a few months earlier. Thursday found their prominence in the early 2000s upon the release of their third album War All the Time, which spawned viral hits, “For the Workforce Drowning” and “Signals Over the Air.” The album also became their highest charting effort to date, peaking at number 7 on the Billboard 200.
Emo rock band from Nashville, Tennessee Free Throw has been making waves in the underground rock and metal circuit since 2014. The band released their debut album, Those Days Are Gone followed by the critically regarded sophomore work, Bear Your Mind. Free Throw has released a total of five studio albums, all showcasing their technical and catchy riffs and penchant for creating hooks and melodies.
