We’re the spot where the beachside meets the rave meets the mosh-pit mayhem and the cool “what happened last night” party pics. And we’re HYPED to welcome one of Australia’s most beloved indie rock exports: Last Dinosaurs, as they bring their Wellness 10-Year Anniversary Tour to town on Friday, February 20th.That’s right….ten years folks. TEN YEARS since Wellness first dropped and changed what modern indie kids aspired to everywhere in the down under. A full decade since that sun-drenched record first gave us a look into Aussie groove, neon nostalgia, and the electric optimism that defined an era of Australian rock. And now, the boys are back — ready to give us the celebration this album deserves, live, loud, and right here at Revolution, and we’re so so ready.
Formed in Brisbane by brothers Sean and Lachlan Caskey, Michael Sloane, and friends with shared Japanese-Australian roots, Last Dinosaurs came out swinging in the early 2010s with their debut In a Million Years — a record that shot to the top of the Aussie charts and had Triple J calling them “the future of indie rock.” From there, it was straight to global domination all over the best stages in the world. Hitting festivals like Laneway, touring alongside the likes of Foster the People and Two Door Cinema Club, and headlining packed rooms across the world. Their later projects, Yumeno Garden and From Mexico With Love, only proved they were here to stay — expanding their sound while keeping that same feel-good pulse that made fans fall in love in the first place.
So, this anniversary show is gonna be like our personal time capsule of indie perfection, brought back to life by the ones who headed the revolution out east. Released in 2015, it was the moment the Dinos fully came into their own, blending vibrant guitars, funk-drenched basslines, and dream-pop aesthetics that made every track feel like a night drive through Tokyo at 3 A.M. Songs like “Apollo,” “Evie,” and “Wurl” solidified their signature sound: catchy but complex, upbeat yet introspective. And one thing’s for sure, it was the blueprint for an entire wave of new-age indie rock bands that followed in their wake. Critics praised it for its maturity, fans clung to it for its honesty, and the band toured it across continents — from Brisbane to London, Tokyo to New York — selling out shows and earning their cult-favorite status along the way. Now, a decade later, they’re circling back to where it all began.
So, South Florida — grab your crew, lace up your shoes, and pull through to Revolution Live. Last Dinosaurs. Wellness. Ten years deep, we’re all in this together! See ya real soon.
